A customer in the energy production sector requested our advice on a component of a machine that was particularly prone to wear and tear, which risked slowing down production and whose continuous replacement caused a waste of time and money.

Solution

After analyzing the component, we suggested to modify the type of plastic material with which it was made, opting for a material that better withstands stress and reduces the effects of wear and consequently the need to change the part frequently.

The result has been exceptional: the frequency of replacements has been more than halved, allowing the customer to drastically reduce costs resulting from downtime and replacement of parts.
